ABPsa Q&A Session about Certification

  • October 04, 2021
  • 5:45 PM
  • Virtual via Zoom

Registration is closed

Drs. Jan Serfiff and Alexi Kalogerakis, and a newly certified Fellow, invite you to a Zoom meeting, to be held on Monday, October 4, from 6:00-7:00 pm mountain time, in which they'll talk with you about the Certification Exam process and answer any questions you may have about the benefits of Certification, preparation for the exam, and what to expect in the actual exam.

Certification by a nationally sponsored organization provides a unique opportunity in your ongoing process of developing your analytic identity.  You have the chance to present your work to a group of colleagues from all over the country, in a professional and confidential setting.  As we all know from preparing for Progression and Graduation, the process of writing up our cases, even though an arduous task, has given us the experience of thinking deeply about our analytic work and especially about our evolving identity as a psychoanalyst.

If you plan, at some point, to become a Training and Supervising Analyst, Certification by ABPsa is a necessary part of that process. Certification is also a prerequisite to apply to be a member of a CAPS group.

Zoom link will be provided at registration, and in two reminder emails.
