"Music Becomes Communication in a Selectively Mute Adolescent"
This is a case example of the Child Analyst’s opportunity to follow this 13 yo female. The hope was to decrease anxiety and allow communication in words as she had suffered years of trauma. Bringing this adolescent to recognize her wants and encouraging her parents to support her growth was integral.
